The watchmaking house Certina has presented the new DS Super PH2000M, expanding its collection of diving-ready watches with the first PH timepiece designed for depths of up to 2000 meters below the ocean surface. Crafted from grade 2 titanium, the collection features four models characterized by bold combinations of materials and colors, with ceramic bezels and available with a titanium, silicone, rubber, or fabric strap.
Certina DS Super PH2000M
From the 200 meters of the DS PH200M, introduced in the 1960s, to the 1000 meters of the DS-2 Super PH1000M, launched in 1970, Certina now adds this new DS Super PH2000M to its collection of professional diving watches. The design is a nod to Certina’s rich history of diving watches, incorporating modern technological advancements and materials.
In addition to the versions featuring a white dial with a blue bezel, and a yellow dial with a black bezel, the black version combines a deep black dial and a black ceramic bezel with striking orange accents on the hands, indexes, and bezel markings. It is completed with a lightweight titanium bracelet designed for extreme conditions. With orange, the depths never remain in darkness.
In collaboration with the Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC), Certina introduces a special limited edition of 1959 pieces, paying tribute to both the launch year of the DS concept and the founding year of the STC. It features a turquoise dial paired with a black ceramic bezel, symbolizing the depths of the ocean and Certina’s long-standing commitment to marine conservation. Available with a silicone or titanium bracelet, this turquoise version offers a bold and contemporary aesthetic with a gradient dial that transitions from turquoise to black, accented by a black ceramic bezel with matching turquoise details.
The case is made of grade 2 titanium. It measures 43 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 16 mm. It features a screw-down crown, a rotating bezel with a safety system, and a helium escape valve. The crystal is domed sapphire with an anti-reflective coating. Water resistance is up to 200 bar (2,000 meters).
Inside, it houses the Powermatic 80.611 calibre, an automatic mechanical movement.
They are available with a metal titanium bracelet and a rubber strap.
