The dial of the HKF005 evokes Tokyo’s night skyline. Set against a deep, dark backdrop, reflective particles mimic the city lights glowing past midnight. The floating chapter ring for the indices and hands features darkened finishes to enhance the dial’s understated mood, highlighting the seconds hand counterweight and the 12 o’clock marker shaped into the iconic «V» motif emblematic of the VANAC legacy.

On the mechanical side, the HKF005 houses the automatic in-house Caliber 8L45, engineered as Seiko’s most precise regular-production mechanical movement. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it delivers an extended power reserve of 72 hours (3 full days) thanks to an optimized mainspring, maintaining a guaranteed accuracy of -5 to +10 seconds per day.
For the first time in the King Seiko line since its 2022 revival, the watch features a see-through sapphire case back. This opening reveals the historical King Seiko shield emblem printed on the glass, alongside the wave-pattern decoration spanning across the rotor and movement bridges.
