Maurice Lacroix takes a bold step in the evolution of its most iconic line with the launch of the AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon collection. The Swiss manufacture introduces this advanced composite for the first time—blending carbon fibers, color pigments, and metallic particles to ensure every dial is a technically unique piece with unrepeatable grain patterns.

Six Executions and the Appeal of Patina
The lineup consists of six distinct executions exploring texture from strikingly different angles. Highlights include the Bronze model, whose case will develop an organic patina over time to contrast against the sharp aesthetic of carbon, and the Damas version. Limited to 500 pieces, the Damas execution is crafted in Damascus steel, fusing old-world forging craftsmanship with the organic randomness of the dial pattern. The collection is completed by the Deep Forest edition alongside vibrant colorways in red, turquoise, and violet.

Mechanical Evolution: Calibre ML1000
Under the hood, the series debuts the new Calibre ML1000, an automatic movement developed in collaboration with Swiss movement specialist Soprod. It offers a power reserve exceeding 60 hours and operates within a tight accuracy tolerance of -4/+4 seconds per day, fully visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

We look forward to examining on the workbench how light plays off the metallic particles suspended within the Frozen Carbon matrix—a three-dimensional visual depth that promises exceptional macro photography results should we get hands-on with a review unit.
