The brand Tudor has presented its new Tudor Black Bay Chrono 39 Bumblebee. A watch that, together with its predecessors “Pink” and “Flamingo Blue,” which are part of TUDOR’s Daring Watches collection, makes a great visual impact with its vibrant and striking yellow and black dial. Additionally, it now comes with its new 39 mm case and a thinner profile to make it even more comfortable to wear.
“In 1970, TUDOR launched its first chronograph: the Oysterdate, a watch that was both robust and functional, characterized by bright colors, pentagonal hour markers shaped like a baseball home plate, a 45-minute counter, and a date function at 6 o’clock. It was immediately adopted by the automotive world and marked the beginning of more than 50 years of technical chronographs that TUDOR has never stopped improving, including another ‘Tiger’ in bright yellow in the 90s.”
Tudor Black Bay Chrono 39 Bumblebee
A new model in the Black Bay Chrono family in a restrained 39 mm size, where its most striking feature is undoubtedly its domed yellow “Bumblebee” dial with contrasting black circular sub-dials. Standing out on the dial are the “Snowflake” hands, which have been redesigned for greater sub-dial legibility and feature Grade A Swiss Super‑LumiNova luminescent coating. The dial design, inspired by the first generation of TUDOR chronographs, includes a 45-minute counter and a date window located at 6 o’clock.
The steel case has a diameter of 39mm and a thickness of 13.1mm. The fixed stainless steel bezel features a black anodized aluminum disc and a tachymeter scale with silver markings. The crystal is domed sapphire, and both the crown and pushers are screw-down. It is water-resistant up to 20 bar (200 meters).
The Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813 integrated into the Black Bay Chrono 39 model. Featuring a 70-hour power reserve and a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, the Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813 is officially COSC-certified.
This unprecedented Black Bay Chrono 39 model is equipped with a new three-link stainless steel bracelet, with polished sides, and a TUDOR “T-fit” rapid-adjustment clasp.
