The Hermès Arceau Cavalier en Formes watch is the fruit of a combination of engraving, miniature painting, and haute horlogerie. Since 1978, the Arceau watch has cultivated asymmetrical lines, equestrian inspiration, and the exploration of watchmaking savoir-faire. A unique timepiece that will certainly not leave you indifferent. It has been created in a limited edition of only 6 units.
“After circles and squares, fragmented into cubist shapes, a rider created by illustrator Gianpaolo Pagni comes to life. This composition, initially created for a silk scarf, has found a new canvas in this watch to unfold its evocative power. The artist drew inspiration from an equestrian lithograph from the Émile Hermès collection; he retained the saddle and then recomposed the figure of the rider into geometric patterns.”

Hermès Arceau Cavalier en Formes
Watches from the house of Hermès always surprise us and rarely leave you indifferent. This new Arceau Cavalier en Formes is no exception, and starting from a case with a design between classic and modern, it displays a combination of traditional arts, an attractive blend of colors, shapes, and textures, and, of course, complications worthy of haute horlogerie.

A sapphire crystal placed directly over the dial, after being delicately painted on both sides, reveals a scene built with layers of shimmer and nuances. Under its transparency, small engraved plates unfold, while hand-painted square and round shapes on plain blue bring the surface to life. At the center of this visual balance, a yellow gold-engraved horse stands out. Thanks to the play of layers between engraving, painting, and transparency, the dial captures the light and unfolds an almost sculptural depth. This pictorial dance takes place above a Lift tourbillon, located at 6 o’clock, whose cage echoes the double H motif of the historic elevator in the Paris boutique.

The white gold case has a diameter of 43mm. Both the front and the exhibition caseback crystals are made of sapphire. It is water-resistant up to 3 bar.

Inside, it features the caliber H1924. A manual-winding mechanical movement with a tourbillon and minute repeater. It has a power reserve of 90 hours.
The strap is made of abyss blue alligator leather with a matte finish.
