A. Lange & Söhne is a German luxury watch brand. Founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in the city of Glashütte, the factory was destroyed by Allied bombers in 1945 and subsequently expropriated and nationalized in 1948. In 1990, Walter Lange, the founder’s great-grandson, revived the company with the help of other manufacturers. It is currently part of the Richemont Group. Among its many strengths, it is renowned for the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail in its in-house movements.
