The manufacturer Audemars Piguet has introduced new Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronographs in bold and vibrant new colors. Specifically, three new 42 mm references in summer tones. Featuring robust materials and refined finishes, these watches express the energy and audacity of the Offshore watch, nicknamed “the Beast” after its launch in 1993 for its oversized proportions and visible rubber gasket. The choice of vibrant coloring reflects the free spirit of the collection, whose design, created by Emmanuel Gueit, is inspired by ultra-powerful offshore powerboats.
New Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronographs!
Three new watches from the Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph collection, featuring three new color versions of its popular design. Watches that delve deeper into one of Audemars Piguet’s most famous designs.
The “Méga Tapisserie” dials feature touches of pink, turquoise, and yellow, as well as orange. Echoing the instrument panels of sports machines with a new pattern, these tones appear on the tachymeter scale and the counters at 9 and 12 o’clock. Their presence improves legibility by highlighting key elements of the chronograph function: the hands and the rubber start/stop pusher at 2 o’clock. The oversized Arabic numerals further enhance this legibility while reinforcing the sporty character of the design.
The first watch, in stainless steel with a black dial, combines pink details with the bold aesthetic of the Offshore. The second, in titanium, plays with the contrast of yellow and turquoise against the dark grey dial. In the third, also in stainless steel, orange details bring to life a monochromatic silver aesthetic. Each model includes a matching interchangeable textured calfskin strap.
All three watches house the calibre 4404, the Manufacture’s integrated flyback chronograph movement. It features a column wheel and a 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. As already mentioned, the case is made of steel and has a diameter of 42 mm.
The strap is an interchangeable black textured leather strap with stitching matching the dial, and features a stainless steel pin buckle.
