Under the creative direction of Mai Ikuzawa —daughter of legendary driver Tetsu Ikuzawa and a key figure bridging automotive culture, fashion, and contemporary art— and featuring the distinctive design perspective of George Bamford, this timepiece moves beyond the traditional chronograph formula to become a modern racing collector’s item.
Vintage Inspiration: The Heuer Roadmaster Legacy
The technical and aesthetic foundation of this collaboration draws directly from one of the most celebrated timing instruments in the manufacturer’s historic archives: the Heuer Roadmaster. Originally created for rallying and track timing, this vintage handheld stopwatch was defined by its high legibility, bold functional graphics, and high-contrast color accents.
In this new release, the crisp white Clou de Paris textured dial serves as a canvas for Team Ikuzawa’s graphic identity. Printed numeral indexes replace traditional applied markers, reinforcing the watch’s clinical stopwatch aesthetic and instrument-like character.
Vibrant red accents sweep across the dial, from the lacquered hour and minute hands to the central chronograph seconds hand and the custom date display at 6 o’clock, where every single numeral is rendered in Team Ikuzawa’s signature typeface and hue.
Glassbox Architecture and In-House Calibre TH20-10
Housed in a 39 mm fine-brushed and polished steel case, the timepiece features a bezel-free construction. The prominent domed sapphire crystal (Glassbox) offers an unobstructed view across the dial and surrounding black minute track, ensuring optimal legibility from any viewing angle.
Beating inside is the in-house Calibre TH20-10, an automatic manufacture chronograph movement engineered without a continuous running seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. This deliberate layout pays homage to classic 1960s and 1970s Heuer chronographs —where lower dial space was historically reserved for racing team logos or sponsors— while giving pride of place to the red Team Ikuzawa signature.
The exhibition caseback reveals a custom oscillating weight alongside dedicated Team Ikuzawa and Bamford Watch Department engravings, complete with the individual numbering XXX/150.

Designed for collectors, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa comes fitted on a 7-row steel bracelet with a folding clasp and includes two additional quick-change straps:
