Among the novelties presented by Panerai at Watches and Wonders 2026 is the new Luminor 8 Giorni PAM01733. The Luminor 8 Giorni PAM01733 reinterprets the historic 47 mm design from the 1960s in a 44 mm format, retaining all the essential codes of the Luminor: a robust case, the crown-protecting device, luminescent numerals, and a sandwich dial, now presented with a new-generation Brunito finish.

“At Watches & Wonders 2026, Panerai pays tribute to its heritage as a historic supplier of professional instruments to the Italian Navy by launching watches inspired by that legacy, reinterpreting the codes of 1960s diving instruments from a contemporary perspective. Our goal is to continue building a portfolio true to the Maison’s functional design principles: solid cases, high water resistance, exceptional legibility, and hand-wound calibers with extensive power reserves.”

Panerai Luminor 8 Giorni PAM01733
A new model quickly recognizable by its Brunito finish. Inspired by the natural aging acquired by metallic equipment subjected to intensive field use—such as navigation instruments and optical housings—where edges soften, wear becomes controlled, and deep black evolves into gray tones in areas most exposed to handling. This finish is combined with a case construction inspired by the iconic Ref. 6152/1 from the 1960s. The architecture of the Luminor case reflects a progression defined by purpose and performance, while the large hand-wound calibers are selected for their reliability.

The Luminor 8 Giorni PAM01733 features an anthracite dial with a circular brushed finish, which combines expressively with the Brunito finish. This visual effect, achieved through a manual rotational brushing technique, creates micro-circles that give unique variations to each piece and a dynamic response to light, intensifying the anthracite tone under sunlight. Arabic numerals, hour markers, a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, and historically inspired double pencil hands feature beige Super-LumiNova. The “8 Giorni” inscription indicates the extensive power reserve and pays tribute to the Maison’s Italian heritage.

The case is made of steel with the aforementioned Brunito finish and measures 44 mm in diameter. The crystal is domed sapphire. It features a see-through steel caseback with sapphire crystal. Water resistance is up to 30 bar (300 meters).

Inside, it features the P.5000 calibre, a hand-wound mechanical movement consisting of 113 components. It has two barrels that provide a power reserve of 8 days (192 hours).
The strap is made of light brown calfskin leather with beige stitching and a trapezoidal buckle in Brunito steel. It comes with an additional black rubber strap.
