Swiss manufacture BOVET unveils the Récital 31, a refined interpretation of one of high horology’s most demanding and classic complications: the perpetual calendar. With this creation, the Maison aims to make sophisticated astronomical mechanisms far more intuitive and wearable for collectors.
Driven by owner Pascal Raffy’s fascination with celestial mechanics, the Récital 31 bridges technical mastery, exquisite hand finishing, and contemporary ergonomics.

Solving a Collector Dilemma: Engraved Corrector Pushers
Setting a perpetual calendar has historically come with the risk of pressing the wrong hidden adjuster. To address this common frustration, BOVET has clearly labeled and engraved each corrector pusher directly onto the case itself.
The pushers dedicated to the date, day, month, and precision moon phase are plainly marked, eliminating any guesswork when adjusting the watch.
Dial Architecture and Celestial Complications
The layout of the Récital 31 pairs a central retrograde date with a 3D spherical moon phase, creating a balanced and highly legible presentation:
- Retrograde Date: Displayed along a prominent central arc for quick reading.
- Day of the Week & Month: Positioned in dedicated side apertures (SUN on the left, APR on the right).
- Leap Year Indicator: Clear visibility of the leap year cycle.
- Spherical Moon Phase: Set at 6 o’clock, adding depth and poetic symmetry to the dial.

469-Component In-House Movement with Hand Engraving
At the heart of the timepiece beats a new in-house manufacture movement composed of 469 components, over 95% of which are crafted in BOVET’s Tramelan facilities. This movement delivers an impressive 5-day power reserve.
Visually, the caliber debuts a hand-engraving motif called étoiles carrées (“square stars”). The hand-engraving process alone takes over 15 hours of meticulous artisan labor in BOVET’s atelier.
The Dimier Case and Limited Availability
The watch is presented in BOVET’s signature 44 mm Dimier case (13.3 mm thick), topped with a box sapphire crystal. Collectors can choose between Grade 5 Titanium or 18K Red Gold.
The Récital 31 is offered in three dial colorways—Blue, Red, and Black—each fitted with a matching rubber strap. Every variation is strictly limited to 60 numbered pieces.
