The new Piaget Polo Minute Repeater (Ref. G0A51038) merges the mythical minute repeater chiming complication into the sporty yet sophisticated silhouette of the Polo line. Limited to a strictly numbered production of just 5 pieces per year, this masterpiece crafted in La Côte-aux-Fées places acoustics, artistic dial craftsmanship, and micro-engineering at the absolute pinnacle of the collection.

Acoustic Excellence and Calibrated Sound Resonance

Despite housing a chiming mechanism of extreme complexity, the 18K rhodium-finished white gold case maintains a remarkably slender profile of just 9.30 mm in thickness, paired with an imposing 48 mm diameter. This architecture is far from accidental: both the internal volume of the case and the density of the white gold were specifically calibrated to optimize the acoustic resonance of the hammers striking the gongs.

The result is extraordinary sonic performance reaching 64 decibels of sound intensity, delivering three distinct harmonic partials and a damping factor of 2,600. The minute repeater slide activator is seamlessly integrated into the left flank of the case, fully respecting the iconic “shape-in-shape” geometry signature to the Piaget Polo aesthetic.

Designed, decorated, and assembled entirely in-house within the brand’s manufacture workshops, its 407 components require over 150 hours of meticulous hand-finishing.

Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz), it incorporates 44 jewels and delivers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The micro-rotor, crafted in high-density platinum to maximize automatic winding efficiency, is hand-engraved with the Piaget coat of arms. The movement finishes include circular Côtes de Genève on the back, hand-beveled and file-drawn bridges, sunburst-satin wheels, and polished screws finished in rhodium, pink gold, or black gold plating.

Collector’s Edition and Interchangeable Strap System

The Piaget Polo Minute Repeater comes fitted with an embossed blue calfskin leather strap featuring a quick-interchangeable system for tool-free strap changes. As a secondary option, it includes an additional dark blue large-scale alligator leather strap (“grandes écailles”), both secured by a triple-folding buckle in 18K white gold.
